THANK FUCK!!!!Peter Berg, the fool responsible for Hollywood offal such as "Hancock" and "The Kingdom" has dropped the idea of taking on a new Dune film and making it "a more muscular, action packed film..."
Pierre Morel (Taken) has stepped up in his place, which looks like an OK bit of news for fans of the books as Ive read he is a big Frank Herbert fan himself, and not a bad director considering "Taken" was a pretty dope attempt for something like his 2nd major movie or someshit.
Anyway its been confirmed and I think they are working on a script now, so lets cross our fingers that he does for Frank Herbert's vision what Peter Jackson did for "Lord of the Rings"
